Basic Multiplayer

You can use your Gamma Gear and Power Activator to play in basic multiplayer mode.

Use the following steps to set up your Power Activator for basic multiplayer mode:

1. When you first visit a location and haven't yet selected a mission, you will land in Exploration Mode, where you can use the Power Activator as a firing unit. While in Exploration Mode, you will be able to hear background noise from the location you're in.

   

2. Press the gold button on your Power Activator to spawn an enemy.

   

3. Press the red button to fire. 

   

Free for All

In Free for All mode, you can challenge a fellow recruit to a player versus player battle by syncing two pieces of Avenger Gear.

Use the following steps to set up two pieces of Gear for Free for All mode:

1. When you first visit a location and haven't yet selected a mission, you will land in Exploration Mode.

2. While in Exploration Mode, ensure both pieces of Gear are on and close together.

   

3. Press and release the Sync button on both pieces of Avenger Gear. J.A.R.V.I.S. will confirm that the sync is complete.

   

4. Once syncing is complete, one of the recruits can choose Free for All mode using the Navigation Dial. If you're using your Gamma Gear, you'll need to press the Plus (+) or Minus (-) button to scroll through the menu and select Free for All mode.

   
5. All prompts will continue playing from the Gear used to select Free for All mode. If you're having difficulty hearing the prompts, try turning the volume up.
6. Nick Fury will provide a short briefing on how Free for All mode works – it's a laser tag style battle that lasts 120 seconds.
7. At the end of the battle, Nick Fury will ask you to stand close together so he can announce the winner of the battle.
8. The winner's Gear will light up and flash.

Teaming Up with Another Recruit

While battling Ultron and your other enemies in the field on missions, you may find it beneficial to team up with another recruit! You can team up with other everyday heroes you know by syncing two pieces of Avenger Gear.

Use the following steps to set up multiplayer mode with another recruit:

1. When you first visit a location and haven't yet selected a mission, you will land in Exploration Mode.

2. While in Exploration Mode, ensure both pieces of Gear are on and close together.

   

3. Press and release the Sync button on both pieces of Avenger Gear. J.A.R.V.I.S. will confirm that the sync is complete.

   

4. Once syncing is complete, one of the recruits can choose a mission using the Navigation Dial. Use the Plus (+) or Minus (-) buttons to select a mission location on your Gamma Gear. Press the Navigation Dial to confirm your selection.

   
5. All prompts will continue playing from the Gear used to select the mission. If you're having difficulty hearing the prompts, try turning the volume up.

NOTE: If you're having difficulty syncing with a fellow recruit, try facing each other and pressing the Sync button on both pieces of Gear again.Ensure Gear is on and close together
